Washington improved to 12-1, its best record after 13 games since the Huskies opened the1975-76 season with 13 consecutive wins en route to a 14-0 start.
UW is now 2-0 in games determined by three or fewer points this season. The Huskies defeated Alabama 79-76 on Nov. 27.
The last time the Huskies started 2-0 in Pac-10 play was the 1997-98 season. That year the Huskies beat Washington State 82-76 and Arizona State 92-70 before losing their third conference game to #5 Arizona. That team advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
The Huskies have now defeated Stanford three straight times at Bank of America Arena. Two years ago Washington won 73-68 and last year the Huskies beat the #1 ranked Cardinal 75-62.
Washington attempted 22 more free throws than Stanford. The Huskies were 18-for-27 from the line while the Cardinal were 5-for-5. Stanford did not attempt a free throw in the second half while the Huskies attempted 21.
Mike Jensen set a new career-high with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor. He also tied for the team lead in rebounds with seven.
