Junior wide receiver Anthony Russo caught a pass today for the 23rd consecutive game, a streak that dates back to the final game of the 2004 season.

Husky linebacker Tahj Bomar matched his career high with 10 tackles. He also had 10 stops in the Oregon State game earlier this season.

Before Bo McNally's third-quarter interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter, Washington hadn't allowed an opponent to turn a Husky turnover into a touchdown in its previous 13 turnovers, a span of six full games games (plus a half each of two other games). Prior to McNally's return, the last time a UW opponent had converted a turnover into a TD was in the UCLA game, when Bruins tailback Chris Markey scored after the Huskies' first of four turnovers that game. Since that time, opponents had managed only six points (two field goals) off of the Huskies'13 turnovers.

McNally's interception return for a touchdown was the first against the Huskies since Arizona State's Josh Golden returned a pick 58 yards for a score last season (Oct. 29, 2005).

Stanford didn't notch its first first down of the game until roughly 12:10 remaining in the second quarter. It came on a pass from T.C. Ostrander to Marcus McCutcheon.

Ostrander's second-quarter, 41-yard pass to Richard Sherman late in the second quarter was Ostrander's longest completion of the season to that point. In the fourth quarter, the same two players hooked up for a 74-yard touchdown pass, breaking the long set earlier. The 74-yard pass was the longest PLAY of the year by the Cardinal (passing, rushing, defense or special teams).
