GAME NOTES
Washington State won its sixth straight game in the series with Washington for the first time since a similar six-game winning streak against the Huskies between 1941 and 1942.
Four of Washington's five losses this season came against ranked teams, including Saturday's 56-52 setback to the fourth-ranked Cougars.
Husky senior guard Tim Morris tied his career high with 16 points. He has registered double-figure points in each of his last seven games.
UW junior forward Jon Brockman tallied 14 points and 17 rebounds for his ninth double-double this season and the 27th of his career. Brockman has posted a double-double in each of his last five games.
Washington's current starting lineup of Artem Wallace (F), Jon Brockman (F), Joel Smith (G), Tim Morris (G) and Ryan Appley (G) lost for the first time after five consecutive victories. That unit opened the last six games, beginning Dec. 15 against Portland.
The Huskies tallied 20 first-half points, their lowest halftime total since scoring 19 at Wyoming on Dec. 6, 2003.
Washington State's 17-point halftime total was the lowest first-half production by an opponent since Washington held Lehigh to 15 points on Dec. 23, 2005.
Washington's 52 points marked its lowest scoring game of the season and the fewest points since a 47-point outing at Washington State on Jan. 20, 2007.
