Washington is now 17-15 its 14 NCAA Tournament appearances all-time. The Huskies are 7-4 in NCAA Tournament games under Lorenzo Romar. Washington has advanced to its fourth Sweet 16 since 1998 and third under Romar (2005, 2006)
The only other time Washington was a #11 seed in the NCAA Tournament , the Huskies defeated Xavier and Richmond to advance to the Sweet 16 before losing to sixth-ranked Connecticut (75-74 loss in Greensboro, N.C.).
With his 15 points against New Mexico, Isaiah Thomas now has 1,121 career points, all in just two seasons - the most ever for a Washington player in their first two seasons.
