Three Former Huskies Set For Senior Bowl

Three former Husky football players will play in the annual Senior Bowl Saturday afternoon in Mobile, Ala. The game airs live on the NFL Network starting at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
Tailback Chris Polk, defensive tackle Alameda Ta'amu and offensive lineman Senio Kelemete will all play for the North team, which is being coached by the Minnesota Vikings staff.
Polk, from Redlands, Calif., wrapped up his Husky career No. 2 on the UW career rushing list and No. 7 in Pac-10/Pac-12 history with 4,049 rushing yards. Polk also broke school records for career carries, career 100-yard games and career yards-per-game average. He is one of only two Huskies ever to rush for 1,000 yards in three seasons.
Ta'amu, from Kent, Wash., started 42 games in his four seasons at Washington, including every game of the last two seasons. He was honorable mention all-conference and won the team's L. Wait Rising Lineman of the Year Award in 2010 and 2011.
Kelemete started all but one game for Washington over the last three seasons, including every game of the last two at left tackle. The two-time team captain from Seattle's Evergreen High began his Husky career as a defensive lineman in 2008.
The Senior Bowl is one of the most important pre-NFL Draft events. Next on this list is the annual NFL Combine in Indianapolis, which runs Feb. 22-28. The 2012 NFL Draft is slated for April 26-28.
