SEATTLE - Five Washington seniors will compete at Alaska Airlines Arena on Friday at 7 p.m. in their final home meet. Megan Whitney will be honored after the meet in a special senior night ceremony.
Although it's the last meet at home for these seniors and the 2013 team, the season is far from over for the GymDawgs.
Washington fell to 27th this week in the RQS with a 195.520 but is still in great position to make NCAA Regionals as the top 36 teams earn a bid. The Huskies are 20th on both bars (49.025) and beam (48.940).
The BYU Cougars are just behind the Huskies in the rankings at 29 with a 195.350 RQS. Washington is 5-4 all-time against BYU with the last meeting back in 1995. BYI is 23rd on bars (49.005).
Seattle Pacific is 59th in the rankings and the third Division II team behind Bridgeport and Texas' Women's. The Falcons own a 191.820 RQS. The Huskies defeated the Falcons last year at Alaska Airlines Arena and are 71-3 all-time against SPU.
Fans can listen to Alisa Mowe live for free on www.gohuskies.com and watch the live video. A live chat will also be available on the website at the start of the meet.
