UW's 2016 Gymnastics Schedule Announced

SEATTLE - The Washington women's gymnastics team has released its 2016 schedule, which opens with a home meet against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Jan. 9. The UW will also play host to the Pac-12 Championships March 19 at Alaska Airlines Arena.
The GymDawgs are set for five home meets this season, as well as three meets broadcast on the Pac-12 Network. The five TV appearances include a home meet against Oregon State on Feb. 8, at Utah on Feb. 13 and at home against UCLA on Feb. 21.
After opening the season against Ohio State, the team will travel to Tempe on Jan. 18 to face Arizona State for the first Pac-12 conference meet of the season. Following that, the Huskies have another road meet against Denver on Jan. 23. The GymDawgs then travel to Allen, Texas, for the Metroplex Invite on Jan. 30, where they will compete against Oklahoma, LSU, Missouri and Stanford.
The Huskies continue the conference schedule with four consecutive meets against Pac-12 opponents, first hosting Oregon State at home on Feb. 8. The GymDawgs then head on the road on Feb. 13 for a matchup against Utah. UW then returns home to hosts UCLA on Feb. 21 before finishing conference competition on the road against Arizona on Feb. 2.
The regular season winds down as the Huskies return home to face Western Michigan on March 5, and travel across town to Seattle Pacific on March 7. The GymDawgs conclude the regular season by hosting a meet with Denver and Seattle Pacific on March 12.
This year, Washington will host the Pac-12 Championships in Seattle, scheduled for March 19. NCAA Regionals are set for April 2 and the NCAA Championships will be held April 15-17.
Fans can see the Huskies in action before they open the season at the annual Purple and Gold Intrasquad Meet on Nov. 20.
