Washington Announces 2017 Gymnastics Schedule

SEATTLE - The Washington women's gymnastics team has released its 2017 schedule, which opens with an away meet against the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines on Jan. 14. The GymDawgs are set for four home meets this season, with three of them to be broadcasted live on the Pac-12 Network. In total, Washington will appear on TV six times in a regular season that includes three home and three away Pac-12 Conference meets. The Huskies will also play host to this years NCAA Regionals, April 1 at Alaska Airlines Arena.
After opening the season against Ohio State and Michigan, the team will travel to Berkeley on Jan. 21 to face California for the first Pac-12 Conference meet of the season. Following that, the Huskies will fly back home to face Utah at Alaska Airlines Arena on Jan. 28. The GymDawgs then travel to Burnham Pavilion to face Stanford on Feb. 5.
The Huskies continue their conference schedule with home meets against Arizona State on Feb. 11 and Arizona on Feb. 19. The GymDawgs then hit the road on Feb. 24 for a non-conference matchup against Kentucky at the Memorial Coliseum. The team finishes their stint on the road with their final Pac-12 Conference meet of the season at Oregon State on March 5.
The regular season finishes up as the Huskies return home to face Seattle Pacific University on March 11 at Alaska Airlines Arena.
This year Stanford will host the Pac-12 Championships, scheduled for March 18. NCAA Regionals, which will be hosted this year by Washington at Alaska Airlines Arena, are set for April 1. The NCAA Championships will be held April 14-16 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Fans can see the Huskies in action before they open the season at the annual Meet the GymDawgs event on Nov. 5 (doors open at 3 pm) along with the Purple and Gold Intrasquad Meet on Dec. 5.
