GymDawgs Set To Host No. 10 Denver, SPU
March 10, 2016 | Gymnastics
SEATTLE – UW gymnastics will face two familiar foes, as the GymDawgs host Seattle Pacific and No. 10 Denver on March 12, at 6 p.m. PT. UW has seen both teams already this season, facing the Falcons in their last meet and travelling to Denver earlier this season. The meet will be streamed live.
“This is our final tune up before the Pac-12 Championships and we feel great about the direction we are headed,” Joanne Bowers said. “We need to ride the momentum from these last two meets and put together another complete meet. These gymnasts work hard day in and day out – that's shown in our performances.”
UW is coming off a two-meet weekend, with a 196.325 in a win over Western Michigan on March 5, and a season-high 196.600 at Seattle Pacific on Monday, March 7.
The GymDawgs are led by senior Allison Northey and junior Kaitlyn Duranczyk. Northey has four all-around titles and is the No. 16-ranked all-arouder in the nation. Duranczyk has won five bars titles this season, including the last three straight.
