Northey Named NACGC/W Second Team All-American

SEATTLE – Senior captain Allison Northey was honored by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W), as the Sammamish, Wash., native was named a Second Team All-American in the all-around.
Northey is currently ranked No. 15 nationally with a 39.430 regional qualifying score. She is the third-ranked all-arounder in the Pac-12 and has five all-around titles. Northey has won 14 individual event titles this season and has 32 top-3 finishes. She posted a personal-best 39.550 at Utah earlier this season and has posted a 39.500 or higher four times in 2016.
Northey was also named an All-Pac-12 First Team honoree in the all-around for the third straight year.
Next up for the GymDawgs is a trip to Salt Lake City for their NCAA Regional meet, where UW is the No. 3 seed. The GymDawgs are currently ranked No. 17 with a 196.360 RQS.
