
Nine GymDawgs Honored On Pac-12 All-Academic Teams

SEATTLE – UW gymnastics had nine GymDawgs honored by the Pac-12 for their work in the classroom, as the conference named its All-Academic teams on Friday, April 8.
The nine honorees is the most-ever in one season for UW. The previous high was eight honorees in 2003.
A duo of juniors, captain Kaitlyn Duranczyk and Alexandra Yacalis, highlighted the GymDawgs' honorees on the All-Academic Second Team. Duranczyk holds a 3.53 GPA while majoring in Early Child and Family Studies, while Yacalis has a 3.43 GPA as a Russian major.
The GymDawgs had seven student-athletes earn Honorable Mentions.
To be eligible for selection to an All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and have participated in at least fifty percent of competitions this regular season.
