Wong Drops Match in Qualifying of ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. --- Sophomore Vanessa Wong lost in the second round of the singles qualifying flight at the ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday.
In the first round matchup, Wong rallied from a one set deficit to defeat Adriana Reami of NC State 2-6, 6-4, 7-5.
In the second round, Wong faced Emmanuelle Salas from Florida State dropping the match 6-7, 4-6, needing two more victories in order to advance to the main draw.
Senior Stacey Fung and Wong lost in the first round of the qualifying doubles flight in the morning to Kelly Chen and Maria Mateas from Duke, 8-7 (6).
Fung earned automatic selection into the singles main draw which begins on Oct. 4.
