GymDawgs Tie for Second in Pac-12 Championships First Session

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah --Â The Washington gymnastics team tied for second place in session one of the Pac-12 Championships Saturday afternoon, earning a 196.375. Â
No. 14 Arizona State finished first in the quad, earning a 196.700. Washington tied with Arizona, both teams earning a 196.375. No. 19 Stanford earned a 195.875. Â
The GymDawgs led all teams after two rotations, earning solid scores on beam and floor. Â
Washington tied their second highest beam score of the season (49.325) led by three GymDawgs earning a 9.900. Â
Brenna Brooks earned a 9.900 in the lead-off spot to set the stage for a successful meet for Washington. This was Brooks' second highest beam score of the season, second only to her career-high 9.950 against Stanford (Feb. 20). Â

Skylar Killough-Wilhelm, who tied for first all-around with a 39.400 all-around score on the afternoon, tied her season-high with a 9.900 on beam. Â
Deiah Moody earned her second-best beam score of the year with a 9.875, followed by Kennedi Davis in the anchor spot who wrapped up the rotation with a 9.900. Â
The GymDawgs then moved onto the floor, where they outperformed all three other teams on the afternoon with a 49.225. Â
Killough-Wilhelm earned a 9.875 in the fourth spot, followed up by Amara Cunningham with a 9.900 in the fifth to earn floor champion for the meet.Â

Kennedi Davis made just her second appearance on floor this year – the first being in the first meet of the season – and notched a 9.875.Â
Washington remained on top after two rotations before heading to vault, where they earned a meet-low 48.800. Davis earned a 9.800 and Killough-Wilhelm notched a 9.825, but the duo was the only to score above 9.800 on the event.Â
Bars proved to be stronger performances with the GymDawgs earning a 49.025, led by Taylor Russon with a team-high 9.850.Â
