
Ryan Berryman Named Senior Associate AD and CFO

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Ryan Berryman has joined the University of Washington athletic department as Senior Associate Athletic Director and Chief Financial Officer, Director of Athletics Pat Chun announced today.
Berryman comes to UW from the University of New Mexico, where he has served in various roles since 2015, including his latest role as senior associate athletic director and chief operating officer for the Lobos since 2022.
"Ryan is an accomplished administrator who has navigated the current financial landscape of college athletics," said Chun. "This is a key position on our leadership team, and we are excited for Ryan to join us at Montlake."
At New Mexico, Berryman led finance and operations for the athletic department, served as the human resources representative, and oversaw several UNM athletic teams since 2019.
Previously, Berryman spent four-plus years as the Lobos' director of basketball operations following an undergraduate career in which he worked as a student manager and student regent of the university, a state-appointed position.
"I am honored for this great opportunity at such a prestigious institution like the University of Washington," said Berryman. "I am eager to join the athletics department at such an exciting time as we kick off the Big Ten era, and I can't wait to begin serving our student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
"I would also like to thank Pat Chun, Erin O'Connell, Nina Keaney, and the other search committee members for believing in me and my abilities."
A three-time graduate of UNM, Berryman holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and operations management, a master's degree in business administration, and a master's in sports administration.
