
Huskies Fall In Close Match To No. 18 Michigan

SEATTLE - The Huskies fell to No. 18Β Michigan today in a match that came down to the wire.
Trailing by one after the doubles round, the Huskies went into the singles round looking for four individual wins to take the match. The Dawgs couldn't quite get there, winning three out of the six singles matches.
Highlights of the match included a win from Washington's Cesar Bouchelaghem who defeated No. 61 Benjamin Kittay 6-3, 6-4. Dzianis Zharyn also won his match swiftly 6-4, 6-2. Ivan Sodan also took home the first win of the night beating his opponent 6-3, 6-2.
Soham Purohit ended the match with a nail biter against Michigan's Will Cooksey. After a close first set loss, he came back winning the second set handedly 6-2. A tough third set led to a final score of 7-6 (4), 2-6, 7-5. Β This left the Huskies trailing by just one point at the end of the match.
Next up, the Huskies will be back at home to take on Penn State on Friday, March 14.
