Malakhi Knight used a double down the left field line to score Taggart. Then Colton Bower singled through the left side to bring home Knight.

Β
With Washington leading 5-4, Josh Emanuels took the mound in the bottom of the ninth. He recorded one strikeout and forced a lineout, but USC used a double down the right field line to score two runs and end the contest.
