Huskies Rack Up Five ITA Preseason Rankings

SEATTLE – The Huskies are getting set to serve up another exciting fall tournament season, and the ITA ramped up the excitement on Tuesday by rolling out the preseason singles and doubles rankings. Washington has three women ranked in singles play, and two doubles teams in the initial rankings.

Two new Dawgs are already appearing in the national rankings before they play a single point in purple. Karolina Kozakova, a transfer from Virginia, is ranked No. 95 in singles play. In doubles, rising junior Alexia Jacobs is paired with UC Santa Barbara transfer Marie Weissheim, and they start together in the Top-25, at the No. 24 spot.

Also ranked in singles is 2025 All-Big Ten First Team pick and senior Reece Carter, who is No. 68. And Erika Matsuda, on the All-Big Ten Second Team last year, is ranked No. 96, one spot behind Kozakova.

Matsuda and sophomore-to-be Carina Syrtveit are ranked No. 64 in doubles.

The first tournament on the agenda for the women this fall will be the ITA All-American Championships from Sept. 20-28 in Cary, N.C.
