SEATTLE - Richie Aman and Harrison Bertos earned Big Ten weekly accolades after leading Washington to an undefeated Big Ten road trip. Aman was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week while Bertos was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Richie Aman was instrumental in both wins for the Huskies. In the first contest at Wisconsin, Aman opened the scoring, firing home a perfect cross from Alex Hall to put the Dawgs in front. His goal would go on to be the game winner.
Against Northwestern, Aman was again pivotal, providing a crucial assist on the game-winning goal that was headed in by Bertos.
Aman has been one of the best offensive players in the country this season as he leads the Big Ten in total assists and is second in the NCAA with seven.
Bertos was clinical for the Huskies defense all weekend long, providing 180 minutes of scoreless defending. At Northwestern, the defender not only scored the game-winning goal, but provided two goal-line stops to keep the Wildcats off the board.
With the two clean sheets on the road this weekend, Washington now has four total clean sheets this season.
The Huskies return to action for another B1G matchup this Friday against Indiana at Husky Soccer Stadium.
