Washington Caps Fall Team Slate, Set Sights On AVCA Pairs Nationals

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Washington wrapped up its 2026 fall slate at the Surf City Collegiate Challenge in Huntington Beach, competing across three divisions over two days of competition.

The Huskies were highlighted by undefeated Saturday pool play performances from Kate Danielson and Ellis Hay, along with the College A combinations of Brooklyn Hoge, Avery Towne and Alina Urzua. Danielson and Hay led Washington with four victories over the weekend, while Hoge, Towne and Urzua combined for three wins. In the College AA Division, Zoria Heard and Sammy Hsu earned three victories, while MayaMay Brown and Shayla Martinez added three wins in the AVCA Bid/Championship Division, including a three-set victory in Sunday's Silver Playoffs.
