
Williams Jr. Tabbed To Johnny Unitas Top 15

SEATTLE – Washington's Demond Williams Jr. has been named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 15, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation announced this afternoon.
The Golden Arm Award recognizes quarterbacks who demonstrate excellence both on and off the field. The award is presented by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation alongside presenting partner A. O. Smith Corporation. The Foundation's mission is to promote the game of football while cultivating strong character, citizenship and academic commitment among young athletes.
This season, Williams Jr. has completed 67.5% of passes thrown and is 15th nationally with 22.0 completions per game. His 1,327 passing yards ranks 20th in the FBS and 265.4 passing yards per game is 24th. Williams Jr.'s 303.6 yards of total offense is 14th nationally and second in the Big Ten. Williams Jr. has also been efficient in the run game, tallying 265 yards on the ground and accounted for two rushing touchdowns.
Off the field, Williams Jr. will earn his bachelor's of arts in communication in the spring of 2027.
Eligible quarterbacks for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award must play at the FBS level, meet NCAA eligibility requirements, and have at least three years of college football experience. Players may have no more than five years of college enrollment and must have played for no more than two college programs. Eligibility is based on a player's years in college, not their listed class year.
The field will continue to narrow in the coming weeks before finalists are selected and one quarterback is named the 2026 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award recipient. The winner will be celebrated at the annual Golden Arm Award ceremony in Baltimore on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
