Reimer Picks Up 13th Win In 1-0 Shutout Against Maryland
March 14, 2026 | Softball
SEATTLE – The No. 21 Washington softball team (21-6, 5-0 Big Ten) secured its second Big Ten series win on Saturday afternoon, defeating Maryland 1-0 at Husky Softball Stadium.
The Dawgs have now won 11 straight, including the last six victories at home and are 5-0 in conference play.
Morgan Reimer pitched a complete game for Washington, recording her 13th win on the season while giving up just four Terrapin hits.
After going off for 12 runs in Friday's win over Maryland, Saturday was a different story, a pitcher's duel that ended in the bottom of the fifth courtesy of Giselle Alvarez.
With the bases loaded, Alvarez notched a sacrifice fly to left center field that scored Jing Gardner from third, the Dawgs' only run of the game.
Kaycie Burdick finished the afternoon 3-for-3, while Jadyn Glab and Ava Carroll each went 2-for-3 on the game.
The final game of the series will begin Sunday at 1 p.m. at Husky Softball Stadium.
