Washington Battles To 195.850 In Regionals Semifinal

SEATTLE – Washington advanced to the second round of regionals, finishing fourth with a 195.850. UCLA claimed the top spot with a 197.450, followed by Minnesota 196.975 and Iowa 196.750. The GymDawgs close out their season just short of advancing to round three.
Washington opened the meet on beam, scoring a 48.625. Deiah Moody led the rotation with a 9.850. Lana Navarro and Chelsea Hallinan followed with matching 9.775s, while Kristin Lin and Olivia Oppegard each added 9.750s.
The Huskies then moved to floor, delivering their strongest rotation of the night with a 49.200. Caitlin McWilliams paced the lineup with a 9.875, while Navarro followed with a 9.850 to match her season-high. Hallinan, Jessica Schaffer, Lin, and Kira Bolden each contributed 9.825s in a deep and consistent performance.
On vault, Washington recorded a 48.625. Lilly Tubbs and Mary McDonough led the rotation with matching 9.775s, followed by Navarro's 9.750. Lin closed out the rotation with a 9.700.
The Huskies finished on bars with a 49.125, their second-best event of the night. Moody and Tubbs led the way with 9.850s, followed by Oppegard's 9.825. McDonough and Evelyn DeYoung added 9.800s to cap the rotation.
Lin finished the night with a strong all-around performance, finishing with a 39.075.
