
Husky Women’s Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

SEATTLE – For the 11th consecutive season, the University of Washington women's tennis team has been honored as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team, the ITA announced this week.
In addition to the team recognition, six Huskies earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors: Reece Carter, Karolina Kozakova, Erika Matsuda, Jermine Sherif, Carina Syrtveit and Marie Weissheim. Marina Markina (Old Dominion) and Alexia Marginean (LSU) were named to scholar athlete from the time at their previous institutions.
The Dawgs have had six or more scholar athlete recognitions in six of seven of the last seasons.
As a team, Washington posted a 3.56 GPA over the three quarters of the 2025-26 academic year. The Dawgs recorded an impressive 3.76 GPA during the Autumn quarter.
To be eligible for the team award, the program must have a team grade point average of 3.20 or above. For the individual award, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.50 or above for the current academic year.
