Basketball headed to Australia.

SEATTLE, Wash. -- The Washington women's basketball team will travel to Australia, Aug. 6 - Sept. 22. The Huskies will visit Brisbane, Sydney and Cairns and will compete against various club and professional teams, to help prepare for the upcoming 1998-99 collegiate season.
College teams are allowed, by NCAA rules, to take a foreign tour once every four years. The team will gather in Seattle 10 days prior, to begin workouts for the trip. The Huskies traveled to France in 1994.
