UW Women Finish 11th at ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Washington women's golf team carded a three-round total of 938 and finished 11th at the Ping/ASU Invitational in Tempe Saturday. The host Sun Devils won their tournament by 20 strokes, with a total of 884 on the par 72, 6,090-yard Karsten Golf Course. Duke was second at 904 followed by Arizona in third at 915.
ASU's Grace Park won individual medalist honors firing a 1-under 71 on the final round to finish with a total of 219 over 54 holes of play. UW freshman Kelli Kamimura was the first Husky in after shooting a 76 on her final round and finishing alone in 22nd place with a 230.
Jennifer Stapleton was next, in 35th place with a final round 76 and a total of 234. Paola Bellotti had the low round of the day for the Huskies as she fired a 1-over 73, but had to couple it with a pair of 82s in her first two rounds, to finish at 237 and in 49th place. Elisha Au followed with a 239 in 57th place and Andrea Cordova was next at 244 in 69th.
Washington's next action will at Stanford for the California Collegiate, April 10-11.
