Huskies Struggle at Arizona State Invitational

Tempe, Ariz. - The Washington men's golf team had a rough first day at the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational. The Huskies finished the first two rounds in 15th placed with a score of 595. Arizona State leads the 17-team field with a team-total of 567. New Mexico is one stroke off the lead at 8-under.
Arizona State's Paul Casey shot two 69-stroke rounds, which was mirrored by Sweden's Rickard Sundgren. The men share the lead in the three-round tournament.
Gordy Scutt had the low score of the day for Washington at 145. Senior Scott Kral was next in for the Huskies with a 37th-place 147.
The Huskies have a chance to move up the leader board with a final round tomorrow morning.
