Husky Golfers Finish Sixth at Rain-Delayed Peg Barnard

Stanford, CA - The 20th-ranked Washington women's golf team finished sixth at the Peg Barnard Collegiate at the Stanford Golf Course. The Huskies shot rounds of 314 and 315 total of 629, eight strokes behind tournament champion Denver (621).
Rain forced an early end to Saturday's first round of play. The tournament resumed Sunday morning as the 13-team field completed both rounds of the 36-hole event.
Washington freshman Sung Ea Lee had the best finish of her collegiate career, shooting 150 to finish in second place. Stanford's Wendra Liang took medalist honors at 148. Washington State's Jay Lee Longbottom tied Denver's Christine Anast for third at 151.
The Huskies return to play April 24-26 at the Pac-10 Championships to be held at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis.
