West Named Gohuskies.com Student-Athlete Of The Week

SEATTLE – Redshirt sophomore Aaron West (Snohomish, Wash.) was named the Gohuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 4-10.
West picked up his first win since 2009 after he missed most of 2010 due to an injury. He earned the victory in game two of the Pac-10 series vs. Oregon to clinch the series.
The Huskies won the game 3-0 in 10 innings. West went 9.0 innings, allowing just five hits, one walk and struck out five. Jeff Brigham was set up for the save, his second of the year.
West leads the team in innings pitched, 49.0 and is fourth in ERA with a 3.86. He is also second in strikeouts (28).
