Two-time letterwinner looks to break into the starting lineup this year.
2004-05 (Sophomore):
Compiled a 2-6 record in singles, all in tournament matches... was 8-9 in doubles action, including a 5-4 record in dual matches with Tara Simpson at the No. 3 spot...reached the singles semifinals at the Husky Invitational Flight II without dropping a set...reached the Flight II doubles semifinals at the Pac-10 Indoor Championship with Stephanie Svanfeldt...fought her way to the Flight III singles consolation semifinal at the Pac-10 Indoor Championships...with Svanfeldt advanced to the Flight II doubles semifinals at the Pac-10 Indoor Championships.
2003-04 (Freshman):
Started three matches for the Huskies at No. 6 singles but went 0-3...compiled an overall singles record of 3-11...earned first career win over Alex Arlak of Brown, 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the USTA College Tennis Invitational...saw most of her dual action on the doubles court...compiled a 4-16 doubles record with five different partners...picked up first dual match win of career at No. 3 doubles with Saskia Nauenberg, defeating a team from San Diego St. on March 6.
Juniors/High School:
Three-year captain at Magee Secondary High School...led team to a pair of fourth-place state finishes as a sophomore and junior...team finished sixth at state championships during her freshman year...also a standout soccer player.
Personal:
Monika Kolbovic...parents are Angela and Jerry Kolbovic...older sister Renata (29) was assistant coach for the Huskies from 2003-04...father was a professional handball player...enjoys dancing and soccer.
