Three-time letterwinner and 2005 Pac-10 doubles semi- finalist... will be the Huskies' top singles player this season.
2004-2005 (Junior):
Named to the All-Pac-10 honorable mention team...finished the season ranked 96th in singles and 26th in doubles with Dea Sumantri...played the majority of the season in the No. 2 singles spot compiling a 10-11 dual record, 17-16 overall...member of UW's No. 1 doubles team with Sumantri...recorded a 17-14 doubles record...opened the season with a 15-6 singles record, but was slowed by injury midway through the season...finished the year winning two of her last 10 singles matches...tallied two singles wins over top 25 players...reached the finals of the Flight I Husky Invitational losing to teammate Dea Sumantri...reached the semifinals of the Pac-10 Indoor Championships upsetting the No. 1 seed of the tournament in the opening match...in doubles with Sumantri, advanced to the semifinals of the Pac-10 Championships, falling to UCLA's Laura Gordon and Alex McGoodwin (8-3)...teamed up with Sumantri to reach the doubles quarterfinals at the ITA NW Championships...also advanced to the round of 16 in singles at the ITA NW Championships...selected to the Pac-10 All-Academic Second-Team.
2003-04 (Sophomore):
Stepped up big for the Huskies in her second season...compiled a 26-16 singles record, the ninth most single season wins in UW history...went 17-10 in dual play, every match at the No. 4 singles spot...26 singles wins was third on the team...biggest win of the season came in UW's NCAA Second Round match against Oregon when, with the match tied 3-3, Hadzic won a third-set tiebreak 8-6 over Davina Mendiburu to send the Huskies into the Sweet Sixteen...also earned a three-set win over Lauren Colalillo of Arizona State in UW's 4-2 win in the Sweet Sixteen...earned honorable mention recognition on the Pac-10 All-Academic Team...reached the semifinals of the USTA College Tennis Invitational...reached the third round of the ITA Northwest Championships...was third on the team with 13 doubles wins...played with five different doubles partners but played the majority of her matches with senior Erin Hoe, going 7-8 and 7-7 in dual play at No. 2 doubles...also spent time teaming with Saskia Nauenberg, recording a 4-7 dual mark.
2002-03 (Freshman):
Turned in overall singles record of 10-7, including 7-4 dual record...went 13-8 in doubles action, including 9-4 with Erin Boisclair...recorded 3-1 singles mark in the No. 5 spot, 4-3 at No. 6...advanced to the third round of ITA Regionals before ousted by Raquel Kops-Jones (Cal)...when Claire Carter was declared ineligible right before the Round of 16 NCAA Team Championships, stepped into the lineup and picked up a clutch win in the No. 6 spot over Anya Loncaric (UCLA).
Juniors/High School:
Attended Turisticko-Ugostiteljska HS in Split, Croatia...played in international junior tournaments...led club team to three national championships (1999-2002)...club team also finished third in 1998 junior national championship.
Personal:
Dinka Hadzic...parents are Zehra and Salih Hadzic...brother Dino (23) also plays tennis...majoring in communications ...enjoys music, and hanging out with friends.
