2001 (Junior) -- After not getting much mound time early in the year, emerged as a solid reliever down the stretch … four of his six relief outings came in May … struck out one in an inning and two-thirds of no-hit relief at Gonzaga … struck out the only batter he faced vs. OSU May 5 … worked five and one-third relief innings vs. ASU May 13, striking out five … gave up a run in two and a third innings at Arizona May 18.

Earned two letters as a pitcher at Lower Columbia playing for coach Kelly Smith … captained the team as a sophomore … led the team to a 40-5 finish his first season and a a 33-12 mark his second … his freshman year team won 28 games in a row and had a 1.93 team ERA, both league records … as a freshman, posted a 3-0 record and a 1.86 earned run average … his second year, went 6-1 with a 2.18 ERA … won several academic awards in 2000: NWAACC Scholar-Athlete, NASA Space Grant Award and Lower Columbia College Scholar-Athlete.
