COACH BENDER ON ERROLL KNIGHT
"Erroll Knight is maybe as good an athlete as has ever worn a Washington uniform. He can play a number of positions. With a real accelerated improvement in his skill level he is becoming a very proficient shooter out to the three and a much more competent ball-handler. Erroll probably can become as great a defensive player as ever played at Washington. Erroll will play anywhere we need him and everywhere we can use him. That's what he brings to our program. Can he have the same impact as Richard Jefferson at Arizona? I think that's a good example. He is athletic like that, but he is also developing into a very consistent 3-point threat. He has the ability to put the ball on the floor and create his own shot. He is a warrior. Erroll went through the adversity of losing for three years and in his fourth year they had a winning season and made the state tournament. His talent speaks for itself, but his heart is incomparable. His hunger to keep getting better, to do what ever it takes to be successful, will be reflected in how he plays for us. He guarded all kinds of people in high school, he likes the challenge."
