Was a member of the track and field team from 1981-83. A two-time track and field All-American; established UW records for 1500, 3000, 5000 and 10,000-meter events, along with mile and marathon; first collegian to break nine minutes for 3000 meters; anchored UW distance medley relay team that set national record in 1981.
