Major at Washington: Economics
Husky Rowing Experience: 2000 (Freshman)--Rowed bow seat in the freshman eight that won a gold medal at the San Diego Crew Classic. 2001 (Sophomore)--Won Washington's first national championship in the pair, along with Andy Altman, at the IRA Championships ... bow seat in varsity four that won a silver medal at Pac-10 Championships ... also rowed with varsity four for the California dual. 2002 (Junior)--Stroked the open four that won gold at that IRA Championships ... member of four that placed second at Pac-10's ... led Huskies to victories at Windermere Cup and the Oregon State dual.
Personal: Son of Cheryl and Eric Jorgensen ... mother attended Georgia State and is a first grade teacher ... father attended Illinois and is a tax attorney for the IRS ... one older sister, Laura (22), a senior at Georgia.
I chose Washington because: Fred told me it was sunny and clear here everyday.
The best thing about Seattle is: The weather.
The best thing about UW is: All the construction on campus.

My best race was: My first race as a freshman at the San Diego Crew Classic 2000, we won.
After I graduate, I plan to: Be a smoke jumper in Eastern Washington and Idaho.
If I could tell my incoming teammates one thing, it would be: Cherish your time here, it goes by faster than the water at Saturday morning practice.
