Washington & Amateur Notes
• 2010 Ben Hogan Award Winner, given annually to the top collegiate golfer
• Three time PING All-American, including twice named to the first team, just the second Husky honored three times (Brock Mackenzie)
• Two-time Co-Pac-10 Player of the Year, just the fifth conference player to win the award twice
• Four-year Husky letterwinner
• Currently occupies the top spot in the Players World Amateur Ranking (SPWAR)
• Spent 21 weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Rankings (June 15-Nov. 4, 2009) after ascending to the top spot after winning the U.S. Open sectional qualifying at Suncadia's Tumble Creek.
• Was the 2009 U.S. Open low amateur after finishing 36th at Bethpage Black in Long Island, N.Y.
• Won the Mark H McCormack Medal which recognizes the top-ranked golfer in the Royal and Ancient's World Amateur Golf Ranking at the end of each amateur season and following the European and U.S. Amateur Championships.
• Runner-up at the 2009 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship
• Tied for third at the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship.
• Won the Sahalee Players Championship

• Finished in a tie for 53rd at the 2008 Canadian Open in Oakville, Ontario. It was the best finish by a Canadian amateur since 1972.

2008-09 (Junior)

• UW's top finisher at the NCAA Championship, carding a 213 to finish tied for ninth overall
• UW's No. 1 finisher at the NCAA Regionals, carding a 213 to finish second overall
• UW's No. 2 finisher at the Pac-10 Championships, posting a 7-under 281 to finish as the runner up
• Runner-up at the UW Intercollegiate with a 12-under 198. Shot a 63 in the third round, which tied a record with Darren Wallace for lowest third-round score
• Won the Oregon Duck Invitational with a 5-under 211.
• UW's No. 1 finisher at the Lexus Classic; was the overall runner-up with a 2-under 214
