PERSONAL
Born December 12, 1979, in Mission Viejo, Calif. . . . parents are Terry and Angelo, who both work in the insurance business . . . has an older brother, Nick, who played basketball player at UC San Diego . . . majoring in business administration with a minor in speech communications.
WASHINGTON
2000 (Junior): After a very strong spring season performance, will hope to gain more playing time this season ... made great strides in improving her hitting during the off-season.
1999 (Sophomore): A regular player off the bench, she often came in to serve, but also stayed in long enough for some front-row play ... saw time in 35 games .. notched six service aces on the year ... posted career-high five digs on two occassions, at Sacramento State and in the home match against Arizona State ... season-high two kills in three different matches (at Sacramento State, at WSU and against Arizona State) ... made the UW Dean's List spring quarter.
1998 (Freshman): Played in 20 games and 15 matches as a true freshman, mostly entering games as a back-row player ... top match was at home against USC ... had her most playing time in that match, and set season highs for kills (2), attacks (12), digs (4) and blocks (2).
SANTA MARGARITA HIGH SCHOOL
Earned four letters as an outside hitter and middle blocker at Santa Margarita, playing her last three years under coach Eddie Rapp . . . captained the team as a junior and senior, when she was an all-county and all-CIF pick . . . named All-Sea View League in each of her last three seasons and All-American as a senior . . . once named the player of the week by the Los Angeles Times as a junior . . . team won the league her sophomore and junior years, its CIF section her junior and senior years and were the state runner-up her senior year . . . a four-year honor roll student and a National Honor Society member, she graduated with a 3.9 grade point average.
