2000 (Junior): Earned all-Pac-10 second team recognition … started and played in 18 games … part of defensive unit that did not allow opponents two or more goals in a game more than two times … took six shots and had two assists during the year … one assist came at Oregon State in 3-0 shutout of the Beavers, the Huskies’ sixth of seven shutouts on the year … the other came in UW’s 3-0 win over Akron to claim the adidas Invitational title ... played on the state’s U-23 team that was undefeated and won the West Region Sports Festival title ... from there, was selected to the National Team that competed in the US Amateur Sports Festival.
1999 (Sophomore): Established himself as a reliable presence in the Husky defense, starting 21 games ... 35 career games started is third-highest of all returnees ... anchored strong defense that led UW to a 13-1-1 record when scoring two or more goals ... tallied first career assist in 1-0 win versus Marquette ... assisted Wes Hart for first goal of 2-1 overtime win vs. California.
1998 (Freshman): One of UW's most consistent freshmen, Sleeth started in 14 of the 15 games in which he played...missed two games in midseason due to injury...scored on his only shot of the season in a 6-0 victory over Oregon State.
Club/High School
Started as a co-captain on the Premier Soccer Team for seven years, earning team MVP honors twice...played on the state ODP team five years and on the Under-18 regional ODP team...was a midfielder and defender at Ferris High School under coach John Gould his first two years and Robin Crain as a junior and senior...helped team win state championship as a senior and finish as runner-up as a junior...squad won Greater Spokane League championship both years...Ferris was ranked as high as ninth in the nation by NSCAA/Umbro High School Soccer in 1997 and 11th in 1998...earned first-team all-GSL honors as a junior defender and a senior midfielder...helped hold league opponents to only two goals in 1997...led his team in assists and was second in goals as a freshman and senior...also played basketball for four years, helping team finish fifth in the state tournament in 1997 and eighth in 1998.

William Charles Sleeth was born Oct. 23, 1979, in Spokane, Wash...parents are Mary Ann and Bill Sleeth...has an older sister, Mindy...has two great uncles who played in the NFL in the 1940s...another uncle played football at Idaho State and a cousin played football at Montana...also enjoys snow and water skiing...has not declared a major.
