WASHINGTON
2001 (Junior): Third year as a regular in the starting lineup, playing in 16 of 19 games ... missed three contests late in the year due to injury ... scored Huskies’ first goal of the year, leading the team to a 3-2 overtime victory in the season-opener versus Fairleigh Dickinson ... scored a second goal in the final regular season game of the year, a 4-2 win over California ... had five shots during the year ... leader on stout defense.
2000 (Sophomore): Started all 20 games and was part of a defensive unit that allowed opponents only 24 goals on the season and again only twice allowed opponents more than two goals in a game … took seven shots on goal and tallied an assist in UW’s second win of the year, a 3-0 match over Akron.
1999 (Freshman): Was the only freshman to see regular time in the starting lineup ... started in 21 of 22 matches ... part of a Husky defense which only twice allowed more than two goals in any game ... only goal was UW’s first offensive goal of the season, a header in the 79th minute that ensured a 2-2 tie with Gonzaga ... assisted fellow frosh Dayo Oyetuga in 2-1 win over UNLV ... named Rookie of the Year by his teammates.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL
Helped FC United win the 1999 Youth National Soccer Championship after taking the Washington State and Region IV title...team went 40-0-2 in the 1998-99 season...selected to the U.S. Men’s U-18 National Team at the U.S. Amateur Sports Festival this summer in Portland, Ore., after attending training camp at ARCO Olympic Training Center...named MVP after his U-17 squad won Tampa Bay Sun Bowl championship game...his U-18 team won that title a year later...selected as the 1998 Gatorade Circle of Champions Washington State High School Boys Soccer Player of the Year...earned all-area as a junior and senior while at Gig Harbor High School...named first-team all-league in 1996, 1998 and 1999 and second-team all-league in 1997...squad finished fifth in state in 1997 and third in league in 1998 and 1999.
