Prior to that, Soderberg coached at her alma mater of Boise State from 1995-2002. She was assistant coach for four seasons before being promoted to associate head coach for the next three years. With BSU, Soderberg was both the recruiting coordinator and worked with the Bronco offense. She was also responsible for game scheduling, film exchange and scouting. Soderberg coached one season with the Daughertys at Boise State, 1995-96. She also coached Lewis-Jay at BSU for three seasons, from 1995-98.
Soderberg was a graduate assistant at Pacific from 1993-95, while earning her master's degree in educational and counseling psychology. She received her bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Boise State in 1993. Soderberg is currently working on a doctorate degree in psychology.
She was a four-year basketball letterwinner with the Broncos from 1988-92, and played three of her four years under Daugherty. Soderberg was a student assistant for Daugherty while finishing her degree in 1992-93.
Soderberg, 36, was born in Detroit, Mich., but was raised in Bremerton and was a 1988 graduate of Bremerton High School. She played both basketball and soccer at Bremerton High.
