Built: 1994 | Renovation: 2005 |
The Conibear Shellhouse is located on the shores of Lake Washington and has served as the primary home for Husky Crew since its construction in 1949. |
A complete renovation in 2005 increased space by 75 per cent to 47,250 square feet and created a unique, multi-purpose facility at the heart of the university's athletic campus. |
In addition to updating team training areas, offices and a new, additional shell storage bay, the facility houses the Ackerley Academic Center, Windermere Dining Hall and Husky Crew. |
The Conibear Shellhouse can be described as the heartbeat of athletic life as it serves as a hub for all of our Husky student-athletes. |
Both the men's and women's crew locker rooms are housed in Conibear Shellhouse, just steps from the water. |
The facility is also home the the Husky Crew coaches offices, and has room to display the rich and growing tradition of UW rowing. |
