Men's Golf Facilities - University of Washington Athletics

		GOLF CENTER
"It is very important to have a facility on campus. The Husky Golf Center offers our guys a place to work on their games whenever they want to and also provides a place for the team to relax and study away from everything else. We don’t host any team practices here but it is a great space for team meetings and providing the guys with a 24-hour available golf-specific facility that allows them to improve. "Being in the athletic facilities, they are close to our workout facilities and the academic center. If they have some time between classes they are able to come and work on Trackman or work on their putting stroke. Our guys also have access to the UW Driving Range if they want to see the ball fly and it’s close proximity to our Husky Golf Center is another tool for improvement. UW prides itself on providing opportunities for the students to grow and get better. Our Athletics Department has the same philosophy and the facilities accessible for our golfers is further proof of that." - Head coach Alan Murray

		PLAYGROUND
"Simply put, this is one of the best practice facilities anywhere in the country. To be able to hit any shot from inside 250 yards to a tournament-quality green is really special. The guys have unlimited options on areas to practice, and we are very fortunate to have something like this available to us anytime we want it. "The greens are truly excellent, and we really feel this can help elevate our guys' short games and get them prepared for the best tournaments in college golf. With access to this, you don't have any excuses not to have a phenomenal short game. It's easy to spend hours at the Playground and never be bored. We believe having a facility like this separates us from our competition and can help the guys separate from their competition on the golf course." - Head coach Alan Murray

		ALDARRA GOLF CLUB
"Aldarra is one of the best golf courses in the country. It is extremely challenging, and the greens make it even harder. The course is very contoured, and keeping it below the hole is a big advantage. It is one of the best conditioned courses you can find, and being able to play here is a huge advantage for our program. "The course is a challenge from any of the tee markers and provides a great variety. The par 3's are superb. The course has a combination of long, demanding holes and shorter ones where precision is required. It has some of the best scenery possible and I think is a really enjoyable golf course to play. We feel it is a course that aids our preparation for championship-level golf. It tests every part of your game and you will get to use every club in the bag when you play there." - Head coach Alan Murray

		SEATTLE GOLF CLUB
"This is a classic championship golf course. Good shots are required to score well. It places an emphasis on driving the ball well and accurate iron play. When the greens are firm, it is a really strong test, and anything under par is a good score around Seattle. "It is the typical Pacific Northwest championship golf course; beautiful trees and really well manicured. Our guys love playing there and you really get a feel that you are at a special golf course when you are there. It is impossible to be a golfer and not love Seattle Golf Club. There is a long-standing wonderful relationship between UW and Seattle Golf Club and we cherish the golf course. Seattle has played host to numerous championships over the years, and it is easy to see why." - Head coach Alan Murray

		BROADMOOR GOLF CLUB
"Broadmoor is the closest course to campus at less than two miles away. This is another Pacific Northwest classic. Each tee shot asks a question of you, and the golf course is right in front of you. "The course is very fair and always beautifully maintained like every course in the area. It has some wonderful golf holes, and is another course that every golfer really enjoys. Huge trees and excellent greens are two of the challenges you face while out there. It's another course with a great mix of holes, and you will get to use most clubs in your bag." - Head coach Alan Murray

		SAHALEE COUNTRY CLUB
"Sahalee is arguably the tightest and most intimidating golf course in the country. You have to drive the ball really well to have any chance of scoring well, otherwise you could be in for a long day. Without a doubt, this is one of the best courses in the country and has hosted both men's and women's major championships, as well as numerous professional tournaments. Every hole is almost like hitting down a corridor, and playing it will make you a better driver of the ball. Your iron shots are equally demanding because of the very subtle and challenging greens. When they get firm and fast, you have no margin for error to be able to score well. The course is visually stunning and intimidating, and is another superbly maintained golf course." - Head coach Alan Murray

		OVERLAKE COUNTRY CLUB
"Overlake is a really fun course to play, and it is extremely well kept. It's probably the most scoreable of all the courses we play, and for the college guys, they tend to have shorter irons in, but the course still provides a great test. "The greens are superb and being in the fairway makes it a little easier to score. The course has some really good par 4's that ask different questions of you. The par 5's give you an opportunity to make some birdies and possibly eagles. It's less than a 10-minute drive from campus, and we always enjoy playing there." - Head coach Alan Murray
