Aleah Goodman serves as an assistant coach for the Washington women’s basketball team. She will enter her second season with the Huskies in 2025-26.
During the 2024-25 campaign, Goodman helped the Huskies return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017. Her scouting insights supported a successful transition into the Big Ten conference, with Washington earning its most conference wins in eight years. Additionally, Goodman’s contributions in player development helped the Huskies lead the Big Ten in field goal percentage (49.3%), 3-point percentage (40.1%), and free throw percentage (83.6%) during conference play.
Goodman has also assisted with recruiting operations for the Huskies, helping land the No. 14 recruiting class in 2025, per ESPN’s rankings. Notably, this class included the commitment of five-star Brynn McGaughy, the highest-ranked recruit in Washington history. Off the court, the Huskies maintained their academic excellence, averaging a 3.43 GPA during the season and earning their fourth consecutive perfect Academic Progress Rating from the NCAA — a mark tied for the highest among Big Ten programs.
Before her appointment at Washington, she served as an assistant coach for Oregon State during the 2023-24 season. With Goodman on staff, the Beavers reached the Elite Eight for the first time since 2018 and finished the season ranked No. 8 in the AP poll with a 27-8 overall record.
Prior to her tenure at Oregon State, Goodman was the Director of Recruiting and Player Development for Duke Women’s Basketball. In Durham, she helped scout opponents and personnel, contributing to the Blue Devils' 26-7 overall record, a second-place finish in the ACC, and a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Goodman bolstered the Blue Devils' recruiting efforts, helping sign five players listed among espnW’s HoopGurlz Top-100 over two seasons.
Goodman’s coaching career is deeply rooted in her exceptional playing career. As a four-year letter winner at Oregon State, she earned All-Pac-12 honors each year. She was named a WBCA All-America Honorable Mention her senior year and received her second consecutive Defensive Team Honorable Mention. As a sophomore, she became the conference’s first-ever Sixth Player of the Year. She helped lead the Beavers to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight and two Sweet Sixteen runs. Oregon State qualified for the NCAA Tournament all four years Goodman played for the Beavers. In 2021, Goodman was drafted 30th overall by the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA Draft, becoming the sixth Oregon State player selected over a six-year span.
Off the court, Goodman completed a bachelor’s degree in human development and family science and a master’s degree in student services administration. Her academic achievements were recognized with multiple honors, including the Tom Hansen Pac-12 Conference Medal, awarded annually to the outstanding male and female student-athlete at each Pac-12 institution.
Goodman is a native of Milwaukie, Ore., where her parents, Kevin and Kari Goodman, reside. She has three sisters, Anna Stephens, Kylie George, and Tori Almonte, and a brother, Jordan Goodman.
