Joe Murray joined the University of Washington strength staff in November of 2020.
He works with baseball, men’s and women’s tennis, and men’s golf. Murray comes to UW after a stint with the Seattle Mariners where he served as a Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Mariners Low-A affiliate, the West Virginia Power. Prior to his time with the Mariners, he interned with the strength and conditioning staff at Texas Christian University where he assisted primarily with baseball, football, men’s and women’s tennis, and men’s golf. He also spent time as an intern at Capital Strength and Performance in Sacramento, California where he assisted with professional MMA athlete’s fighting out of Urijah Faber’s Team Alpha Male.
From 2018-2019, Joe served as a Graduate Assistant for the Husky baseball team under Coach Lindsay Meggs. At UW he worked primarily with hitters and infielders, and assisted in scouting and operations.
Joe completed his Masters in Exercise Science and Health Promotion through California University of Pennsylvania. Joe attended Loyola Marymount University for undergrad where he played baseball and earned a B.A. in Political Science.
Joe is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is CPR/AED certified.
