Nina Ellen Keaney serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Human Resources. In that role she oversees the Human Resources staff and operations for the Athletic Department, and provides oversight of contract relationships for the department. She is also the sport administrator for men’s soccer, women’s soccer, track & field, and cross country. Prior to serving in this role, Keaney was the Director of Administration for the Athletic Director, providing strategic communication, planning, and administrative support to the office of the Athletic Director.

Prior to joining the staff at the University of Washington, Keaney was a staff attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Superior Courts and Appellate Court (1995-2002), as well as adjunct professor of law at the Southeastern Massachusetts School of Law (now UMass Law School) from 1997-2004.

A graduate of Smith College in 1992 and Boston College Law School in 1995, Keaney also earned a Master’s Degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from the University of Washington in 2007.

Keaney was a four-year student-athlete at Smith College, competing in cross-country, indoor, and outdoor track and field. When she isn’t cheering on the Dawgs, she enjoys trail-running, cycling, and attending live music events.
