Stephanie Bohannon has served as Washington Track & Field and Cross Country Director of Operations since the fall of 2018, after serving the same position at the University of Oregon from 2016-18. Bohannon has been on staff for UW's first ever Pac-12 Men's Track Team Championships in 2023 and 2024, and a trio of NCAA Championship fourth-place finishes from men's track (indoors - 2023) and women's strack (outdoors - 2025; indoors - 2025).

"I'm honored to be a part of a new era of Husky Track & Field and Cross Country under the leadership of Maurica andΒ Andy Powell," said Bohannon, upon joining the UW program. "As a former middle distance runner at the University of Connecticut, I couldn't be more delighted to become a Husky once again on Montlake. I am grateful for the vision of UW leadership and the Powells that will deliver a meaningful and rewarding experience for our student-athletes, fans and the entire UW family."

Bohannon serves as Meet Director for Washington's home cross country and track meets, including the series of Dempsey Indoor meets that attract some of the nation's finest fields of professional, collegiate, and prep talent. She also has a hand in all aspects of team travel, recruiting, compliance, academics, communications, and alumni and donor relations.
At Oregon, BohannonΒ was the Director of Operations during the 2016-17 season that saw the Oregon women win the first "Triple Crown" in NCAA cross country and track, as UO won the 2016 cross country title, and the 2017 indoor and outdoor track team titles.

Prior to her two seasons as Director of Operations at Oregon, Bohannon served as the Volunteer Coordinator for TrackTown USA in Eugene for two years in charge of recruiting, training, and maintaining more than six thousand volunteers to support the hosting of major events such as the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, two NCAA Outdoor Championships, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships and two more USATF National Championships.

Bohannon was a Husky of a different breed for two and a half years at the University of Connecticut, where she was Coordinator of Student Athlete Development and Community Outreach. During her time at UConnΒ she wrote and maintained the $1 million SBM Charitable Foundation grant and coordinated student-athlete participation in volunteer activities and development events, as well as overseeing community outreach programs. She was the staff advisor for the UConnΒ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and taught sections of the Freshmen Year Experience and Senior Year Experience Life Skill courses.

A 2012 graduate of UConn, Bohannon was a member of the cross country and track and field team and earned Big East All-Academic Team honors. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science and received the Suzannah Bliss Tieman Award for Research in Psychology in 2010.

Bohannon also served as Associate Director/Recreation Director for the Northeast Kingdom Running Camp in Lyndonville, Vermont, for nine years.
