SEATTLE - The 10th-ranked UCLA volleyball team extended its winning streak to nine matches Thursday night with a 3-0 win over Washington at the Pavilion Addition. Game scores were 15-3, 15-7 and 15-5.
The Huskies fell to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in the Pac-10 while UCLA improved to 11-1 and 3-0.
Sophomore star Kristee Porter led the Bruins with an outstanding 23 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. Freshman Lauren Fendrick had 15 kills and sophomore Ashley Bowles added 14 with only one error on 25 swings.
Washington had only one player - Lisa Underhill - register double digits in kills, with 10. The Huskies were out-hit in the match, .385 to .144.
The Huskies take on 19th-ranked USC Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
