
Volleyball Defeats Oregon State, 3-2

The five-game match is just the second of the season for Washington, who also won a 3-2 match at USC. The Huskies have swept their opponents 14 times this season.
The Huskies had four players with double figure kills. Senior Kaitlin Leck led all players with 27 kills, while Christal Morrison had 20, Brie Hagerty had 19 and Darla Myhre had 11. Courtney Thompson paced the UW offense with 78 assists.
Five Washington players had digs in the double figures, led by Candace Lee with 35. Morrison had 17 digs, while Leck added 16, Thompson had 14 and Danka Danicic added 11.
Washington out hit the Beavers .246 to .191, marking its second-lowest hitting efficiency of the season. UW also held advantages in kills (87 to 73) and digs (97 to 91), while Oregon State out blocked the Huskies 16 to 11.
Oregon State won game one 30-20 after out hitting UW .333 to .128. The Beavers pushed its lead to 2-0 with a 39-37 win in game two. OSU held the slight .271 to .270 hitting percentage in that series.
Washington came back in game three with the dominating 30-16 victory, out hitting Oregon State .324 to -.024. UW also out hit the Beavers in games four and five, .182 to .132 and .455 to .240, to notch the 30-27 and 15-10 victories.
Washington continues Pac-10 action tomorrow night with a match at Oregon at 7 p.m. Tonight's match vs. OSU was taped by FSN and will air Saturday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m.
