POST-GAME NOTES
San Diego State attempted its first shot of the game with 17:32 left in the first half. The Aztecs turned the ball over on their first five possessions.
Tre Simmons registered his second straight 20-point performance. He scored a career-high 23 points against the Aztecs after netting 20 on Sunday against Eastern Washington (Dec. 5). Simmons' previous career-high game was a 22-point effort at Arizona on Feb. 26, 2004.
Nate Robinson reached the 20-point plateau for the fifth time this season, matching his entire total of last year. He also grabbed five steals, a mark that tied his career high.
Washington extended its current home winning streak to 10 games, its longest run of consecutive victories in Seattle since a 14-game stretch from Feb. 12, 1998 to Mar. 6, 1999. The Huskies' last loss at Bank of America Arena came on Jan. 10, 2004 against UCLA.
The Huskies improved their record to 6-1, their best start since the 1997-98 team opened with a similar 6-1 mark. That 1998 UW squad advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
With nine and seven rebounds respectively, Bobby Jones and Will Conroy both posted individual season-high rebound totals.
For the fifth time this season four different Huskies scored in double figures.
