Late Game Heroics Keep UW Undefeated In Pac-12

SEATTLE - Senior Nate Sackeyfio (Seattle.) got his first goal of the season at UCLA on Monday and followed that performance with another huge goal, the game-winner in fact, vs. Stanford on Sunday in rainy Seattle.
In a very physical game with few attempts on goal, the Husky senior headed the ball into the right corner of the net off of a free kick from senior Ben Fisk (Federal Way, Wash.). The net was wide open just in front of the goal line in the 80th minute.
Fisk scored his first goal of the season in the 85th minute on a penalty kick. Fisk kicked a strong ball into the upper right corner. Although Drew Hutchins got a hand on the ball in goal for the Cardinal, Fisk was able to give the Huskies the 2-0 lead. Freshman James Moberg drew the foul in the box that led to the PK.
The first shot on goal for either team in the game came with 17 minutes left in the second half by Stanford.
Junior keeper Spencer Richey (Seattle, Wash.) for the Huskies made two saves while picking up his seventh shutout of the year, and second-straight.
The Huskies are 9-3-2 on the season and 4-0-1 in the Pac-12, still atop of the league standings. Stanford fell to 5-6-1, 2-2-1.
Stanford played with 10 people for the last 36th minutes after a red card was issued.
Washington hits the road to face Cal and Stanford next week. Both games will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.
