TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Huskies shot a 6-over 294 for a second-consecutive day on Sunday to finish tied for 11th at the PING/ASU Invitational. Washington ended up with a final total of 880 (+16) to end up deadlocked with TCU.

"Obviously we could have played a lot better," is how Husky Coach Mary Lou Mulflur summed up her team's tournament. "It was a great field and most of the teams that finished ahead of us were in the top 25, so it's not like we lost to a bunch of nobodies.

"We just need to bounce back quickly."

Alabama ran away with the team title at ASU's Karsten Course after shooting 11-under 277 in Sunday's final round. The Crimson Tide ended up 19 under overall and won by nine strokes over Duke, who led the tournament after two rounds.

Alabama also claimed the individual title after freshman Emma Tally shot 2-under 70 to finish 9-under 207 overall. She outdistanced Silverdale, Wash. native and UCLA sophomore Erynne Lee and UC Davis' Demi Runas by two strokes.

Huskies' sophomore SooBin Kim was the top UW finisher. She shot a final round 1-under 71 to end up with a final total of 2-over 218. Kim ended up tied for 27th in the 90 player field.

"It was good to see her bounce back," Mulflur said. "She really struggled at this tournament last year - it might have been her worst event.

"I think she was kind of hanging on to that, so it was good to see her shoot under par and finish on a good note."

Jennifer Yang finished second among Huskies. The sophomore, who was high school teammates with Kim, ended up tied for 31st at 3-over 219.

Yang shot a 5-under 67 in Friday's first round to earn a share of the lead, but could not keep up the pace throughout the weekend. She followed up with a 74 on Saturday and a 78 on Sunday that did not count towards the team total.

Charlotte Thomas shot a final round 73 to end up with a final total of 220 (+4). The freshman ended up tied for 38th, which happens to be her lowest finish in 10 tournaments.

Freshman Ying Luo shot a final round 76 and ended up with a three-day total of 227 (+11). She tied for 61st.

Sophomore Cyd Okino had her best round of the tournament with a 74. Her first round score was disqualified after signing an incorrect scorecard so Kim ended up tied for 88th.

Up next for the Huskies is the Pac-12 Championships in Valencia, Calif. The tournament is scheduled to be played Monday, April 22 through Wednesday, April 24 at Valencia Country Club.

"We need to refocus and get a great week of practice in," Mulflur said about her team's quick turnaround.
